Dunzo, Nick Russo
We take small business owners from being overwhelmed to being in control.
Dunzo is a boutique agency that pairs US-based remote executive assistants with business owners, executives, and entrepreneurs so they can focus on their unique contribution to the mission, vision, and goals of their company.
Executive assistants are carefully selected and paired with the small business owner’s needs in mind, whether those needs are personal, behind the scenes, or client-facing. Time-consuming tasks that derail business owners from focusing on their pressing duties and big-picture goals, can be forgotten about — consider it Dunzo.
Many of Dunzo’s original virtual executive assistants came from a Facebook group of people working as online English teachers for Chinese students, primarily in Mainland China. These women (including my wife) were so dedicated to their students that we knew Dunzo's business owner clients would be extremely lucky to have their support.
Being that Dunzo serves a client base of fellow small business owners, I wanted to thoroughly vet SCORE to ensure that it was a useful resource to recommend to my clients.
I received valuable guidance from SCORE and will happily direct my clients who are in need of mentorship and development to this organization.
My mentor, Rick, primarily provided counsel with marketing and human resource support.
Dunzo was in the beginning stages of creating a new position within the company, a delicate and major undertaking. Rick assisted with structuring an appropriate contract and facilitated deliberation of how success would be measured for this new role.
My mentor also provided guidance in better defining my target client, discovering my most useful marketing channels, and developing a plan of execution.
Rick has a huge heart! He is always willing to help and truly makes a positive impact on his client’s businesses and lives.
SCORE is a highly valuable resource, if used wisely and with intention. Make it worth your time by ensuring that you are paired with a mentor who works well with you. Most importantly, know what your goals are going into the mentorship and express them to your mentor.
- Do everything with intentionality.
- Always seek clarity.
- Be honest and kind.
