How I can help you

I've worked with 2,000+ businesses across 40+ industries on growth, profitability, cash flow, turnarounds, acquistions/acquisition integration, staffing/training their workforces, loan applications, investors, partners, franchising, erecting and remodeling buildings, manufacturing, energy development, inventions commercialization, and many more issues.  Working on too many topics for too many firms has taught me how different companies doing the same thing in the same town truly are, how much individuals are more often irreplaceable than not, how rapid growth breaks many firms as do unprofitable customers, how absurd financing decisions routinely are and how much better it is to grow from profits, how much of a trap owning a building often is for all future growth, and how it's usually not the market you set out to serve that turns out to be the magic opportunity.   I've worked with the largest companies in America and $100 start-ups. I've owned, invested in, partnered in, been management/middle management, integrated 9 acquisitions, hired many, fought ferocious and ruthless competitors, and learned from everyone I've met.

I founded the SBA Small Business Development Center in Billings almost 30 years ago and worked with medium and large firms for the Montana Dept. of Commerce in between my greater number of years in private businesses (advertising, B2B marketing, security, gun and ammunition mfg) so got training on all of the loan programs out there then (there's a few more now) from the lenders themselves (behind the curtain) and helped get $645 million in new facilities built.  I started as a marketing specialist for a decade ("Who's Who in Advertising in America") and become a generalist (advising non-profits, governments, health care, utilities, etc. too.)
