I had a career in Law Enforcement which included deputy Sheriff in Los Angeles and Investigator for L.A. County District Attorney’s office. I invented a number of products for Law Enforcement and consumer sales, I am listed as Inventor or Co-Inventor on 9 patents. I was owner and/or CEO of several companies including Marketing Director for Mag Instrument Inc. Manufacturer of the Mag-Lite flashlight.
As Marketing Director for Mag Instrument I was responsible for developing a marketing plan for a new flashlight (Maglite). I was responsible for the complete product development, assembly processes, shipping, advertising (both print and TV commercials), hiring and managing international sales force and setting up all internal procedures, processes, personnel, and HR procedures. Mag instrument grew from zero sales in 1979 to over 50 million in sales by 1986 and continued to over 200 million by the year 2000.
